Terms & Exams
The academic year has three terms. Each term is approximately 10-12 weeks. Term one and term two are followed by term exams. Term three is followed by the final exam. Students’ accumulative average from each term determines the final average per subject.
Term average is determined by formative and summative assessments throughout the term. In the beginning of the year, students are given clear instruction from their teachers on the criteria in which their work will be evaluated. In addition, students sit for various International Standardized Exams throughout the academic year (IBT, PSAT, SAT, TIMSS, PIRLS, PISA...).
